energy suspensions bushing questions?
Okay I have some questions for the people out there that know a little bit about the Energy Suspension bushing kit you can buy. I got the full kit and i am almost done installing them into my car. I had all my controle arms and what not sandblasted and then painted because I could not Powder Coat some things. In one of my pics of the rear controle arm, do those bushing come out and what are they called. I wanted the control arm itself PC'd but that bushing seems to be permanent? It does swivel and im sure it could be important for its use? Is ther a mod i can do to eliminat this and have a peice of round stock metal machined to replace it?
And for those of you that plan on this bushing upgrade you NEEEDDD a Shop Press to do it. There is realy no other way to do it if you dont want to mess up your ****. Mine is a 6 ton press and it was about 45 buck so its pretty cheap and well built.
The other pic is a picture of the front control arms and those I can get PC'd. I just dropped them off today and cost me $15. (its not all that expensive like i thaught). Verry reasonable. Any way, this pic illistrated what I had to do to get theat big *** bushing off the dame arm. First ther was a layer of rubber, the a nice sized steel sleeve to hold it on then another layer of rubber material over that. I cut away the first layer and then I used a angle grinder to cut the steel sleeve and just pulled and pried the rest of it off with a flat head sd. Any one do anything diff? Now that i got all that out of the way, dont forget to help me out with my original question. Thanks fellas.

I think you can get those bushings from Mazda, and I think they're really spherical bearings, not bushings, since that what the DTSS pivots around.
You do not need a press to do bushings, I've done the front control arms, DTSS eliminator bushings as well as diff bushings without.

I will try and see what Mazda can offer for replacements on them spherical bearings, if that is what they are called. I know that there are other ways to get all the bushings out but the way I see it, a press is the easiest and fastest way to do it. You can burn em out, or you could monkey around with a big vice and some sockets. But you will not get them out by harmering with a hammer or even some pliers. My 6 ton press had a hard time with the rear arms, it even got stuck at one point and I had to take a butane torch and heat up the surface of the arm wher the bushing was so that the rubber lost its seal? How did you get them out? And what is the DTSS? I searched but only found people that want to do it and have done it. I read it makes handling better but a little daily-d un-friendly? Thanks for the reply
