The end all of Cold Air Intakes
ummm, I don't know what to say. I'm laughing too hard to be an ******* about it but damn man!!
Not only do you kill the 7 by dropping in a **** motor but you go on a kamikaze mission everytime you dive that thing at night, dusk/dawn, fog, rain and any inclement weather.

seriously though, WTF were you thinking?
I believe this is the worst modification of the year. I will soon try to compile the "Best of 2007" and you will represent "worst mod of the year."
PM me if you have ideas or if you have some pointers or threads/posts I may have missed.
As far as your lights being legal: I believe every state has regulation on the height of the lights. They might be DOT approved due to their lighting capabilities but their mounting location IS NOT.
708HP? WTF do you need that much power for? What compression? I'd love to hear your reasoning behind your statement about "reliability" on a boosted car pushing 700+HP.

**** motor? A 4 banger 2.0l motor that makes 700+whp with the cheapest parts, and has not failed me in 2 years is a junk motor?! You rotary guys really are insane!
Yes, the driving lights are DOT approved as headlight useage, and yes, they are at a legal height according to my local laws.
Why do I need 700+whp? The real qestion is-why not!
1) Anything less and I would not be competitive in my local scene
2) I already made 700, so if I dont make more I will feel like I am goign backwards. And hell, I am doing it for a total investment of $3200-its not like its hurting my pocket book.
It looks to me like he's got one of those oil-burning, valve-and-piston-eating Mitsushitsi engines in there....you know the older versions that were used in Talons and the like. What a disgrace to the rx7. What the **** was he thinking?
the 7 is about the rotary. Not the power by itself. Yeah you can drop an LS motor in there (which honestly is looking good NOW) but it's not about the torque. Yes you can mount a colt in there slightly askewed (which BTW I do not understand, why does your motor not sit in there FLAT?????) and push 700hp but that's not what makes the FC AN FC.
IS it cool? maybe to import scene in Ohio and in order for you to keep up with the crazy domestic guys out there (
at those proud to roll in cavaliers BTW!!! idiots) but it's stupid because you killed an FC. WHy couldn't you do this to a starion? Why not an eclipse or talon? To be cool? I guess people stick to what they know and it's easier to get rid of the uncertainties rather than learn something new or different.

that's about all it can do though. I can't imagine trying to drive in the mountains with a HUGE turbo ( it has to be huge inorder to push 700HP) and having it spool to full foost in the middle of a tight turn or a mild turn for that matter. Losing traction at 1/8 throttle is not my idea of fun.
