ems bringer of salvation?

Okay, I'm doing a n/a to t2 swap, only thing is, I just learned that I'm suppsed to stick with the same series car I have. Which my car is s4 and my engine and stuff is s5. Well, too late to turn back now. Anyhow, the wiring is the problem. I'm sure everyone knows this. My question is, if I was to go standalone would this solve my problem of dealing with massive rewiring of the car just to get it to run? Also, standalone would be nice since I would be able to tune the vehicle.

I'm guessing you mean that I should buy a standalone. So this would solve my problem with the s4 -> s5 wiring?

Yes, a standalone would solve it. HOWEVER, this assumes that you know how to wire and tune a standalone, or can pay someone else to do it.

A friend of mine already has a haltech e6x installed on his s5 t2. I might be able to convince him to help me out. But the only problem is wiring the s4 n/a body harness, getting it to connect to the s5 t2 ecu. Does a $1000+ investment worth the trouble of about 40 wires? If I could find some type of wiring diagram this wouldn't be a problem.
