emissions removal but want to keep ACV and air pump

This is somewhat related to this thread

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=403500

as I am now leaning (hoping) towards that I just have a vacuum leak instead of a blown motor. I'll do a compression check during the week end.

Alright, here goes i've searched and from my understanding it seems that most people remove EVERYTHING.

https://www.rx7club.com/search.php?searchid=609358

However I would just like to remove the EGR (maybe), the BAC valve, solenoids, and cold start thermowax. But I would like to keep the ACV and the air pump for the main cat because I would like some hope of passing emissions. So my question is it possible for my car to run properly with just the ACV and air pump? And if it is, what are my chances of passing emissions?

Thanks Again!

Why not leave the emissions stuff in tact and just fix the vacuum leak?

Blocking off the EGR basically does nothing. It won't effect tailpipe emissions.

Generally speaking, defeating one part of the emissions system (ie. vacuum solenoids) will kill the rest of it (ie. ACV).

You need to do a little research on how the emission control systems work. Without the grey and blue solenoids (plus all their lines) the ACV is completely useless, so your hope of passing emissions would be a slim one. The BAC valve and thermowax are idle controls. Why do you want to remove them?
