ok, i'm moving out to the dallas/ft. worth area this month, and i'm bringing my FC. i'm gonna be going to school out there for college, and i was thinking about eventually becoming a resident. now heres my situation, my car will be coming from florida, in which we have NO EMISSIONS testing whatsoever anymore, and i believe in texas, the emissions testing is strict, i had all my emissions removed. the car is registered to me and my grandpa. would i be able to keep it registered in the state of florida under my grandpa's name, while i'm trying to be a resident in the state of texas? or will i have to register it in texas and pass all the emissions? i have no more cold start, no a/c p/s cat, i've got an N1 with 3 inch all the way back, i've got racing beat headers, i forgot what else is done to it, but it's got a lot. any help would be great...thanks...RJ

 

Man im in the same position, cept i still havent been able to correct my emissions problem. I would seriously suggest keeping it with the Florida plates because that way you dont have to worry about emissions. I mean just think about it with ALL of the emissions stuff removed do you really think you can pass? No way. Unless of corse you can make some good freinds pretty quick and find a way to get a sitcker garaunteed. If not than dont hassle yourself man cuz it can be a major pain in the *** believe me. I gotten 2 tickets already for expired sticker and there surchargable events.

**** them man. Just cuz there are 'loose' wires hanging around (not in a harness) they get all pissy and their vaginas get all wet. i hate northern va.
