Emission system help?

Emission system help?

i got a stock '87 s4 and i want to know what i can remove from the emissions system and still keep the car on the road? i live in a small nevada town, so the emissions system isn't a must. thanks for the help.

There's no advantage to removing the system.

However if you must, then search "emissions removal". This has been covered many times and there is lots of info available.

You don't consider simplification and having less things to go wrong an advantage?

It's a simplification if you don't know what the systems do.

The "emissions" system is actually a very limited set of parts consisting of the air pump, ACV, a few solenoids, charcoal canister and (sometimes) the EGR valve. Very rarely do any of these parts cause real problems. There are FAR MORE threads in which people remove a bunch of these parts, thus CREATING problems because they don't know what they are doing...

i know how to do it all haha i had an s4 all that needs to be dont take the lower intake manifold and up off... need to go and buy longe fuel lines usually from napa and connect the fuel line from the fuel filterto the first injectors and from the first to the secondary then from the secondary back to the other line... go to napa and buy a bunch of little valvue plugs and plug off any valves that has no emission lines atatching.... also need to go to Mazda and order the lower intake manifold gasket no tht one that connects to the uper intake and need to replace that and that should be it enjoy any question ask and ill help ya out
