Electronic Problem

My ‘88 RX-7 has an interesting electrical problem I hope someone might be able to help me with or at least lead me in the right direction. My after-market radio/CD player, on occasion, cycles on and off with the ignition key off. It’s not the radio because it happened with the unit I just replaced also. It doesn’t happen every time but seems to be happening more often than before. The only other electrical problem that I have is my clock doesn’t work most of the time. Some times it comes on but not often. That has been a problem for some time now, so I don’t think it’s connected with the radio problem. Does anybody have any suggestions on what the cause of the radio problem might be? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Not sure on the radio problem, but the clock is from bad solder joints in the warning light cluster.
