on my 88 convertible, i just had it detailed, and they broke the control for the window switch for the passengers window, the one located on the driver's side, and about a week later, the passenger window doesn't work at all.... not even with the switch on the passenger side,

can this be anything but the window regulator, the $330 part?

also, as another part of the great detail job that i got, the headlights don't work, they are only a month old and they flip up just fine, the fuses work, but the headlights don't work, not the brights not the regulars.... any suggestions

I'd say its the switch on the drivers side that controls the passenger side. See this http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/showth...threadid=10874 which should show the wiring of the window switches. You'll see the Power Window Main Switch. See the contact on the far left of that switch? The one with a BL (black/blue) wire leaving it? I'd think that switch is not feeding the BL wire.You could jumper 12v to it and see if it now works.

Headlights? I don't do headlights. You might go to SEarch and enter headlights and put Icemark in there also. Or....you could go to the HeadLIght relay and pull the relay. Jumper the R wire to the RG wire and see if the lights come on. If they come on.....its probably the switch. If they don't come on....are both headlights burnt out? Not likely. Possible Dimmer Relay if they did not come on. Semi likely. Not hot on that idea.

Tell you what. Pull the DIMMER RELAY. Get the meter out and see if you have 12v at the RG (red/green)wire. Then if you don't, put it back in and then pull the HEADLIGHT RELAY. See if you have 12 on the R(red)wire.

it was the switch that was bad, replaced it with one from the junkyard and works fine... for now

other research shows that the aftermarket high intensity lights might have fried the switch....

window appears to be because of broken master switch
