Electrical problems

Hey guys. I have some weird electrical problems and i was wondering if you could give me some pointers in how to fix the problems. Ever sence i bought the car the windsheild wipers work only one setting. i read this could be do to cold soiders. It only worked on the mediam setting, which was no big deal so i just left it alone and didnt worry about it. But recently everyonce in a while when i go out and strat my car the sunroof does work and neither do the wipers. But only when the car is running. if i turn the motor and the key is in the on position the work like normal but when the motor is running the dont work at all. this only happens eveyonce in a while, maybe four time in the last 3 weeks. i recently change the main fuse and the alt. and battery were changed back in januray. i check the room fuse and all the other fuses as well and they were all fine. Where else could i look to see what might be causing this, it is an 87 gxl.

Bad relay in the wiper switch.

You should be reading the FAQ for FC sticky thread before posting. It is found in the sticky threads at the top of this section. and is linked here:
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/frequently-asked-questions-2nd-generation-rx-7-faq-fc-494667/

Many of the commonly asked questions (such as the one you started this thread with) are covered there.

This may also help:

That would be a bad ignition switch that would need to be replaced. Often people put a ton of keys or 20 items on their key chains which puts an incredible load on the ignition switch... leading to intermittent or complete failure. Make sure you only have the bare minimum of keys on the key that goes into the ignition switch.

thanks for the links but my question was not about the wiper. i know how to fix it but i really dont need to right now sence it works on the medium speed and thats fine for right now. i have read the faq section religously and know where to look to fix the wiper, but i was just stating the wiper problem to see if there is a correlation between that and the problem with sunroof. i figure i will fix the wiper eventually but right now it is not my proirity.
