Hey guys,

I have a 88 rx-7 GXL and I have a problem with the stupid sunroof. I just bought a new sunroof motor and the sunroof is still acting up! haha it's really starting to drive me crazy.

Has anybody had any experience with the rx-7 sunroofs?

It almost seems like the sunroof is off track... because one side begins to move, while the other just chills.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Try spraying the track with some WD40. See if it just needs some lube... Thats what it sounds like to me..

 

i got that same issue, it ran fine with the wd-40 lube... but its worn out so i just force open it and force close. been trying to get teh time to take out the sun roof again and clean her out. too much gunk and stuff.. then regrease it .

 

Clean it, lube it, mine was also slow but after a nice cleaning and wd40 it worked great.
