"Electrical Problems"
I heard about this through a friend's father and was wondering if it would be something even worth looking into.
My friend's father's friend has an 89 RX7 with a great body/interior and a recently rebuilt engine that he wants to get rid of for "cheap". He claims it "has some electrical problems" and has been sitting a while. I heard from my friend he upgraded the turbo also and along with a few other mods. The guy is probably between the age of 30 and 50... and doesn't do the mods himself (garage installed?). Is this something an avid car mechanic would be able to sort out or should I save myself the headache and not buy someone else's problems?

You're going to need to find out exactly what the problem is. "Electrical problem" could be anything.
Also, most mechanics don't know anything about rotaries, so take that however you want to.

If you buy it,It will be your Problem.and If you Post the Guys address and Info,it will Suddenly become someone else's Problem,..there are so many Electrical Quirks that the cars develop. That is Mostly due to someone Screwing with the Original wiring, and thinkin If I do that I can ..blah,blah..Well,all of a sudden, this part is shortin out,and that Doesn't work..I wonder why?..Most of the Problems are because the Car is Worked on then Researched because it got Screwed up....So,the Short version is..you want to buy it?,then Know what you are getting into..ask the owner of the car,Because Honestly Nobody here can tell you What is the matter with the car as it has been Modified.(unless they are Psychic!)..
