Electrical Problem Help!!!

Ive never been really good with wiring so Im sorta lost. I just installed some injectors on my T2 87', and after I got it all wired back up, which the wiring part isnt bad. I go to start the car and when I turn the key to on I get normal power but only with a loud click like something kicking on. it used to not do that, though sometimes nothing on the gauge works and I have to go jiggle the harness near the battery and fuse block and I will hear something click and it starts working again. Anyway, I go to start the car and when i turn the key to start I hear a click and everything in the car dims really low. it doesnt sound like its from the starter, more forward in the engine bay, maybe slightly on the passanger/right side of the bay. What could this be. Since Ive gotten the car Ive had starter problems, I took it apart and cleaned it a few weeks ago and got it to start before i broke the car down for the injector swap... so anybody have any guess as to what this could be? Really has be depressed seeing as nothing small like this ever comes out well. Always ends up being a hassle for a few weeks

Nope, could it just be as simple as the starter finally crapped out on me and is locked up or something? Would that cause everything in the car to dim though when I turn the key

could be the starter or could be a bad connection at the battery or main grounds on the engine.

if you lay a scredriver across the starter pin to the battery terminal on the starter and it cranks then you can rule out the starter being the culprit.

but wouldnt the main ground make nothing happen at all. im still getting normal dash lighting and gauges coming to life, then when i trun it to start its like everything dies. i might just pray its the starter and go buy a rebuilt one, since mine will need replacing soon anyway. keep throwing ideas at me please. ive looked throug my haynes and cant see anything i would figure would cause it

There are multiple stock grounds. If they are all questionable (not uncommon) then you could see these symptoms.

So it might be as simple are running new grounds then? Might try that before buying a new starter. Cause i know the 1 ground that comes from the batter and goes to the fender well was hit with a broken alt belt and was cut open and it looks pretty bad where it connects to the body anyway. alos isnt there supposed to be a ground wire on the long starter bolt? mine doesnt have one there. So again, might be it. Ill try that and hope for the best. thanks
