Electrical Problem - Help

I've got a 91 convert, and the strangest thing happened. When I turn my ignition key one click, all of the message center lights come on....like they're supposed to. Even the heater motor (if I left it on) runs and so does the windshield wipers (again, if I let them on)....just as they're supposed to. BUT! when I start the car, the air and windshield wipers won't work. I've checked the fuses...which is stupid, because if they were blown, the **** wouldn't work when I first turn the key. I'm kinda at a loss...is there a relay or something I should check. By the way, this happened before, and after a few minutes driving down the road, everything came on.

Any help would, as always, be appreciated.

I think your description is wrong or you might be mis-understanding what is happening.

The lights all come on and the wipers only work when the key is in the On position.

There are 4 positions in the key switch. Off, Acc, On, and Start.

So if they are coming on in the Acc position, then your switch is bad.
