Electrical problem... again

So I was trying to fix the problem that when I press on the brakes with my headlights on the lights go dim and the voltage stays at around 8volts.

So i figured it was the alternator, so I finally changed it and now it seems that it fixed that problem, but the only problem still left is that when I press on the brakes the headlights (including the lights inside the car) tend to go dim and then goes back to normal, it only lasts for a second. I figured it was because the car is just old like that.

Am i right to think so or is there something else going on?

It's a function of a low output alternator and very old wiring.
