Electrical problem :(

So my car (S5 TII swap) ate up my alternator belt, and as I was installing the new one, I was using a really big/long screwdriver to hold the alternator up while tightening the bolts to make sure there was tension. The middle of the screwdriver was sitting on the oil feed tube and I was pushing down on it and the flat part was under the alternator. I think what happened was part of the screwdriver touched the electrical connection on the right side of the alternator that you have to bolt on and is covered by that red-ish rubber thing (I am horrible with wiring/electrical) and was also touching ground. I don't really know what this would do but it seems simple to someone who knows at least a little about electrical so I'm hoping someone can help me out After this happened, my car acts as if it isn't even connected to a battery, like when the ignition is set to on, none of my idiot lights come on and there's no beeping or anything. Please help a brutha out, thanks!!

You may have blown the main fuse on the engine bay fuse block.the 100 amp one.it is there for reasons like what you just did.

That fuse is Bolted in on the side of the fuse block too(2 -10mm bolts),,not just a pull out fuse, like the EGI and other fuses in that block.

Oh okay, that's what I was thinking... but didn't know where the extra fuses were besides the smaller ones. I'll check that tonight, I was pretty sure it was a fuse just didn't have time to look. Thanks!

No problem,
there is another 15 amp fuse in under the dash IF you go and replace the 100 and it still doesn't give ya anything, check that too.
If you don't have a Fuse Box LID to tell you what fuse is what, then check the Stickies on the Sec Gen Specific section,up top.
they have a pic of a lid that tells you what fuses are where on the Fuse block( inside the car under the driver's dash, kick panel)
NOTE:.,I may as well get THIS out of the way,,Disconnect the battery before Fartin around with ANYTHING Electrical!!..( I know too late to tell ya now!..lol!)

I checked the 15amp engine fuse earlier and that was fine. And yeah, lol, I will be sure to disconnect the battery from now on I usually do, and I wasn't expecting adjusting the belt tension to turn into an electrical issue so that why I did not, lol. Thanks a ton for the advice
