Angry Electrical Help

Alright. I love this car, don't get me wrong. It's absolutely awesome. But it's electiral system f***ing blows. Hard. Somewhere in my system (I think I haven't gotten around to testing it) there's some kind of parasitic drain. Consequently I had to replace my battery. When I was driving the car for one of the first times with the new battery in it, it did this really weird thing where the electrical system would cut out when I stepped on my brakes. For example, my stereo would turn off and then back on and my interior lights would flicker. I am completely lost. If anyone has some suggestions, please please let me know. I'm worried that if I leave my car for too long, when I come back the battery will be dead. Thanks.

you have a bad alternator, and battery.

If the car is running and you step on the brakes and the radio cuts out... you do not have sufficent power to run the car.

The electrical system is pretty good if you pay attention and fix the problems when parts wear out.

Could you give me a little instruction on how to check the alternator and what tools I'd need. Fixing my own car is new to me.

And if you still can't figure it out sell it. This the most basic electrical problem you will ever
come across in a 7.
