Electrical gremlin?

My tach needle jumps up and down in time to the turn signal blinker... The turn signals work just fine. The tach works fine when the turn signal isn't on.

1990 gxl mostly stock, low miles.

Anywizards out there have any ideas what's causing this?

TIA,
Nick

haha thats cool
I had something similar to this when I had a short on the wire connecting to the battery.... so check the wiring in that area... make sure it fits tight, etc...

I wonder if that capacitor near the trailing coil pack being bad would cause this?

Or you've got the turn signal wire running right next to the tach signal wire in a wiring bundle somewhere, and the turn signal's EMF is "twitching" the tach...
