88 dollars this seems like a much better fan than the black magic one for 165. Am I right or wrong? Lets get a permacool/blackmagic war going here

Someone didn't do a search!

The Fiero fan. It's cheap, it flows a LOT of air, and it comes with a shroud, which the others do NOT.

Black magic does I believe. And they sell shroud stuff for like $10 I think.

I found the perfect fan to fit the stock Mazda radiator. 1995 Ford Escort fan, 1.9 liter engine. Expect to pay about $30-$40 from a junk yard for this beauty. It brought my coolant temp from 210* to 165*, and I am not exaggerating. The key to an efficient fan is the shrouding. This one has shrouding that almost covers the entire radiator core on the Madza. I don't know what CFM it pulls, but it's like a hurricane under the hood! Pulls about 25-30amps on High. (It has an internal High and Low setting, very nice). Here is a picture of it mounted.

Your car is running already? I bet its fun with that GN setup.

My fingerchopper fan is now called the catchopper since my stupid *** cat fell asleep under my hood. You can figure out the rest.

personally, my rx7 is my project, which I put a lot of hard work into. I dont want to junk up my engine bay with used pontiac parts, just a personal preference. In my opinion, the permacool not only looks GREAT, but it flows just as well as anything with a shroud, if not better. Im not saying the Fiero fan wont work, because it will, well at that, Id just rather spend the extra 60 bucks and get something new.

I have two fans. The catchopper pulling and the little stock one pushing. When I still had the underhood insulation, it blew little chunks of it off. With the hood open. You can put your hand in front of my grille with the fans on and feel the air moving in.

LOL...cat chopper!

VMB...permacool will work fine and looks great. you need the 16" fan. all of the fans listed in this thread, from the fiero fan to the black magic, all a matter of preference.

When trying to view "angelfire" URL's, you need to cut&paste the URL's.&nbsp You can't just click it and expect it to work.&nbsp Stupid way to prevent cross-hosting I guess.

My 2 cents, I recommend Spal fans.&nbsp Made in Germany and some of the toughest and higest CFM rated electric fans in the automotive industry...

The only place that comes up with a web search is here...
