Question Electric Fans

I've seen a lot of guys around the forum have electric fans. I've been looking for one of those for a long time. Can anybody give me some suggestions (i.e. brands, prices, where to get them)? Thanks.

You could go for a mariah fan and custom shroud but thats a little pricey. I'm pretty sure blackmagic has one for around 200 size 150 and ive heard many good things about this fan looks clean too.

go to the nearest auto wreckers/junk yard and ask them for a big electric fan and motor, go for a walkies with the guy and see what you can find. I actually work in a auto wreckers and one particular model of car - 1984-1989 Nissan Bluebird come with a 16 inch electric fan. I took the fan off and bolted up the fan from the vicous hub stock fan, can you say HUGE CFM rating?????

i got mine out of a pontiac grand-am i believe, they have nice ones, i got mine for around 10 bucks i think it was, and i used a thermostat switch from the auto parts store (17 bucks), so for ~37bucks i had an electric fan that works better than the stock clutch fan. Have phun, oh, and try a search, there have been alot of talk about this you should find good results.

I would recomdmend the one I have- A perma cool. It's pretty cheap, and flows the most out of most of the fans. It just doen't have a shroud on it (one should be made when installed)
