Electric Fan/pulleys
Alright, so I've noticed that I have a pulley-driven fan. Does anyone know how much, if any horsepower this frees up in eliminating the mechanical apparatus that drives the radiator fan? Also, does anyone know where I could obtain an electrical fan? I've seen many high-performance radiators with electrical fans right up against them; do electrical fans ever come WITH those radiators?
Also, does anyone know exactly how much HP one could pick up with an Unorthodox Racing underdrive pulley, and does anybody use it (if so, what's it like? Is the car still driveable?). On top of that, are there other pulleys to lighten other than the "crank" pulley, and if so, who makes a decent set of lightweight pulleys?

Awesome bit on the fan, I think I'll start working on the cooling system this summer, and with that upgrade I could pick up a little bit of power...Thanks!

The stock S5 and many aftermarket S4 fan clutches freewheel & use no power unless their thermostat sees excess heat from the radiator.
So power usage (mechanical vs. electric) is almost the same.
A few of us have had the black magic thermostats fail.
My personal preference is a used Ford Tarus fan rigged with a parts store thermostat.
It has a shroud that covers all but 1 tube of the rad.

No gains with an e-fan other then some engine bay space.
Pullys are not worth it in a street driven car. The gain is minimal, and the side effects from underdriving the alternator and water pump are annoying.
MANY electric fan topics in the past, a search would turn up tonnes of info.
