I read in some place that the Pontiac Fiero V6 electric fan fits perfectly. I saw the photos and you need to do some homemade "J" brackets.

its really simple to install as well, you dont need a separte relay everything is built in.

ive got it working two ways, one through microtech into the manual switch, then also by its own internal temp switch.

Another flex a lite user for almost 10 years without a problem I just installed a proform fan on my father's SA. It seems to be the very same one as the flex a lite black magic, but without the price tag.

You need to do the FD alt. upgrade and you won't have any problems.

Black Magic Extreme, 3,300Cfm and it has a shroud that covers the whole radiator unlike the black magic 150. More expensive but obviously better.

*edit*
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that flex-a-olite thermostats are crappy. Mine was burnt out by the installer. HOWEVER, after calling flex-a-lite and explaining what happened they asked me to fax them my original receipt for the fan and they would send me a new thermostat. They sent me their new thermostat design that they don't even sell yet and it works like a charm.

Beat me too it aaron, I was about to post a link to your site. Also, don't use aftermarket thermostats, only Mazda OEM ones.

Some of those high CFM fans pull alot more amps. Try to find a fan that will use under 10 amps while running. Some fans will use about 15amps while running. This will only load up your alternator.

You could throw in a S5 alt for less $$.

Another option is the Permacool 16 inch fan.
It's lovely nickname is the Fingerchopper because it is an unshrouded and metal fan bladed.

It flows a bit more cfm than the Blackmagic BUT you'll need to make a shroud for it.

I bought mine for around $100 then bought the Black magic thermoswitch for $20.

I've yet to install it though. I have also heard that the thermoswitches are not great(my friends blew under 3 months)

Again, if you are going with the black magic fan; you might want to look at the proform one:

http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp

compare it against the black magic flex a lite, and the only difference you will find is on the price!!
