Yeah if the engine is not a mazda, you would want to contact the chevy boards.

maybe because its late tonight, but all I could think of to answer that is:

yep!

I mean common, basic mechanics stuff here...you should have checked dead battery, Spark, gas, compression. All those things are not gonna be Mazda, but GM now.

Does it have spark? I am sure you are not using the Mazda coils, crank sensor or ECU. Probably a HEI dist in there right??? That rules out the Mazda ignition system.

Are you getting gas?, is this fuel pump working? Maybe that is still a Mazda part, but it probably should have been replaced as well, since the Mazda one is supposed to flow at 90 PSI like a fuel injection system uses. You could flood the carb pretty easy with it if the GM fuel regulator was messed up.

Carb??? it gets worse... okay.. are you sure you don't have the floats misadjusted? or is the thing jetted correctly?

Basically with that engine swap you shouldn't have any Mazda electrical related, with maybe the exception of the wires to the fuel pump and the ignition wires from the ignition switch.

Maybe you still have the Mazda sized battery in there... Don't know if that would have enough available amps to crank over all that moving mass that that GM engine has.

I don't mean to sound like an *** but if chevy v6's and mazdas where supposed to match they would have came with them from the factory. Why mess with perfection go back to rotory.
