eh simple questions, take simple answers

quick question, from the passenger side, looking at the fuel rail, on the side closest to the front of the car, is the inlet hose... and if so, when i turn the key to the ON position, should have fuel pumping out? and if not, is there a fuse , im only asking cause my fuse cover is "missing". i pulled off my intake manifold, removed the fuel line, and it was bone dry, turned the key to ON and no noise, no fuel pumping. car is hard to start, and boggs down at full throttle, but at light throttle will accelerate slowly. just troubleshooting at this point.

Fuel pump doesnt come on until your either cranking the engine, or the engine is running. You can make the fuel pump come on if you turn the key to "on" and put a jumper in the fuel pump check connector by the airbox.

why would the fuel rail be bone dry if the pump were working if it is a constant "wet" system?

if the car had been sitting for quite some time it may have some gelled gas in the lines. Or a really bad fuel filter. Maybe a bad pump...

Pull the hose, put a cup under the line...jumper the pump = test to see if it works...
