EGT on turbo car?

Where would you put an EGT on a TurboII? And is it still useful, because it's going to be much cooler beyond the turbo than it is before it, correct?

I put mine right after the turbo... I hear you can put em in the manifold fore better response in its readings, but the probe will wear faster and not last more than a few months.
