EGT gauge problems

i need to know what kind of autometer EGT gauge i will need for my 87 TII. i am going to use electric if that is possible. i went to a shop and asked them and they went off on something about a 2 pass, full pass, and all that. i need to know what i need in teh sport comp series, right now i am using an AF gaguge, that sucks more *** than a horse stall mosquito

The autometer ones arent too great. They also only go to 1600 degrees, and a rotary can get hotter than that. They also tend to call them pyrometers. Check out page 46, in the 2001 catalog on www.autometer.com I saw 3 different models. All you need is the gauge and the probe.
