i have one of them, its sitting behin my seat, already removed. it was like that when i got it

Personally I'd take it off the seat if your going to drive very far. That has to be discomforting.

Unless you're removing the solenoid rack, there's no point in removing the EGR valve. It reduces fuel consumption but has no effect on engine output. If it's working there are no gains from removing it.
