Effects of running without a BAC??!!

the guy that did my engine didnt hook up the bac becasue the car idles nice and smooth, (that was his reason for not hooking it up) should i hook it up? can it casue problems not being hooked up?

I believe it involves more than just using the AC... Things like heater in the cold, stereo, other power options etc...

I believe it helps the ECU maintain idle when other electrical loads are being put on the engine.
