I didn't make myself clear. On the Turboii, you should get 12v anytime except when the car is in fifth gear. The voltage drops to less than 1.5 volts due to a ground being put on the circuit.

I've found this morning, that the n/a cars are just the opposite. You get less than 1.5volts except when in fifth gear, where you get 12v.

The fifth gear switches in the turbo and na work just the opposite of each other. The turbo switch does not make a circuit until the fifth gear is selected, while the n/a has a circuit til fifth gear is selected, where upon you see the 12v, because there is no load on the circuit anymore from the ground that was being put on it.

See the fsm, 1987fsm, and compare the turbo and n/a for pin 1L (from memory).

Still, you alls switch is working just the opposite of mine and I do wonder about that.

The turbo portion of the fuel section of the FSM says that the turbo car should have 12 volts ONLY in 5th gear. Dont know if I made that clear...check it out in the control unit part

Ah,sooooo. I looked at the 88 manual online and see what you mean. My 87 manual reads different. I'll jpg it when I get home IF the site is friendly enough to let me.

Here, 87 manual: Well, I was a gonna but the site won't let me. Maybe some day far, far, far, far off in the future it'll let me. Probably the same day we have world peace and all the other pie in the sky dreams.

Take my word. The 87 reads right. Either we all are functional illiterates or there was a typo in the later manuals. But I think I did read the 89 manual last nite and it was right.
