ECU Problem
I just receieved an engine, tranny and ecu from tiger japan. I took a look at the ECU and it is a N3A7 ECU. If I am not mistaken, this is a FD ECU. Am I right? I am quite mad. I am planning on rebuilding this engine as I have the rebuild kit already, but upon seeing this ecu I am questioning weither they sent me a S4 or S5 engine. I have an 86 so I wanted to stay with a S4 engine as I should. The ECU code I am looking for from Japan is a N318 am I correct? Or is it the same N332? ALso, this ECU of course is not usable am I right? Thank you so much guys.

yes that ecu is for a fd and any t2 ecu will work for your application. u might want to post a pic of your motor up so we can tell u if it a s4, s5 or even maybey a s6 motor. u also might want to check the harness u got with it aswell becasue it is prolly the fd harness too.
dont fret to much u can sell that ecu and what ever else is wrong and get your ecu

Thank guys. I didnt get the harness with it cause I was reading it was too short and cutting it is a pain so I opted to just buy a US spec harness. Is that best choice? Or should I try to hit them up for a harness too? Ill get pics for you all asap. I hope its S4

You should use your stock na wiring harness with an n318, 332 or 333 ecu. That is the easiest path regarding time and effort. Run a search for hailers and harness.
