ECU pin? What are they called?

they are made by amp/tyco, and i'm sure styx's reference is close but i would do an alternate search for gold plated terminals. the ECU side is gold plated, just to keep everything equal and prevent possible dissimilar metal conductivity or corrosion issues.

I was just wondering the same thing as I'm sure other people have. With these cars being 30 years old some of them have been through a lot and could use some rewiring. I think there's 2 connectors with the gold going to the ecu and the silver/tin going to the front harness. I'll check out TE 170352 or 170353 and post pics to compare if I can get a hold of some.
From over at the 1986-1992 supra forums I found
"pin part #'s for above yellow ECU connectors:
170352-1 (tin plated, 22-20 awg, strip)
170352-2 (gold plated, 22-20 awg, strip)
170353-1 (tin plated, 20-16 awg, strip)"
http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...-terminals-etc.)
It wouldn't surprise me in the least if both Toyota and Mazda used the same manufacturer as car companies often do.
Ordered 100 of 170353 from mouser electronics, they're silver in color and probably tin plated instead of gold but sell in lower quantities and like Devin said I couldn't find the gold plated anywhere. Anyone know what the larger silver pins that go to the front harness are? Will post side by side when the smaller pins arrive.

if the gold is unavailable then you might just try the tinned ones, or see if you can get them gold plated. probably wouldn't be extremely expensive by a local jeweler, can't be more than a couple grains worth of gold required for all of them.

So here's the pictures of the ones I ordered as promised. Silver are new ones and gold are stock OEM ones. Pretty clear to see they're a match. I'll fit test them later when I get to that point in my project and update this is for any reason things go wrong with these but I'm not worried about it.
