ecu light on deceleration

My ecu light come on at deceleration and at idle. I pulled the code 37 which is oil metering pump and/or ecu. I have no idea how to fix this. The car is stock and the plugs are fresh. The idle can be jumpy when it is hot too. I disconnected the BAC valve and things did'nt really change. I read it may be a deceleration valve which I can't seem to locate. Any ideas out there??

If you're getting a code for an OMP problem, then the spark plugs, BAC valve and "deceleration" valve (whatever that is) will have nothing to do with it.

Are you sure you read 37? That code will put the ECU into limp mode, which will be very noticable when driving. You'd definitely know about it...

With deceleration & idle I would expect an 18 (TPS)

For a 37, start by checking & cleaning the OMP connector plugs.
You want shinny bright metal-to-metal contact.

maybe wrong code

Yeah I remember 3 long then 7 short lights then it would repeat. I would think if it were my oil metering pump things would be different. Seems to me there's these little popping sounds in the exhaust on deceleration and the ecu is trying to stop the backfire. The engine is smooth as silk accelerating still so maybe I'll be glad the car is still running (right by hondas that is)
