ECU harness

I need some advice. I have a S5 N/A. The previous owner cit the ECU wiring harness off at the firewall. I need to replace it with the one from my parts car. What's the easiest way of getting it out. I pulled from the inside of car and can't get it all out. Does it branch off somewhere in the dash as well? If so, what's the best approach? splice it?

The emissions harness has at least four other connectors inside the car (other than the two at the ECU)that have to be removed before you can pull the emissions harness thru the firewall. Get a flashlight and have at it. One sorry way to have to remove an engine imho. There shouild have been a single large conector in the engine compartment to remove and then remove the engine. One sorry half *** design imho.

That's one thing that I really dislike about about the 2nd gens. The 1st gens have the coupling in the engine bay. Simple and easy.
