ECU and BACV

Has anyone elsed noticed the correlation of the number (NXXX) on the BACV and the ECU?
A friend pointed this out in the junkyard and I noticed it my cars aswell (all S4).

Yes actually it is the corresponding part number for sensors and other computers that work with the E.C.U.


if you look its on your map sensor, mass air flow a few other sensors can't think of them at the moment as well as comps and sensors behind the dash.
