Ebrake problem PLEASE help...and yes I searched.
Ok here is the deal. I recently replaced all my brake pads and did the usual routine procedure. It was my first time doing it on my car but I used my haynes manual for reference and everything went smoothly.....well, somewhat. The problem now is my ebrake is weak. I have to pull it up almost all the way and it will barely lock the tires. I tried the ebrake adjustment and that didn't do anything either. Now I'm stuck and I'm not sure what else to do.
-On another note when ever I release the ebrake and push back down there is a weird clicking noise everytime I do so. It comes from the rear passenger side brake. In the pic. below you can see where I found the little noise coming from. Well, that's all for now I have to run to work. Thanks.

Chances are it's just rusted and sticks, and releases suddenly instead of moving with the cable, which gives you that noise. Adjusting the screw should tighten it up if you have resistance when pulling it almost all the way up, I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't.

I'm gonna try a few things today and see what happens. I kinda need this ebrake to work cause....well I am a newbie drifter and use it to initiate my drifts for now and there is a lil competition coming up soon so I want to be ready. Well, thanks for the help any other answers are greatly appreciated.
