Ebay Strut Bars?

Umm just a general question, I was wondering how people enjoyed their front strut bars that they have purchased off ebay. The one I was looking at was one from Import Car Parts or something around those lines. I was wondering if people have ever needed to modify them or do they usually just scre right on? Thanks for the help and again any reply is a good reply in my book.

I got one for my 91 TII, from a guy named "directcarparts" (somthing along those lines), the bids started out at 24.99. The fit was great, it actually cleared my alt buy a few centimeters, and seemed to give it a stiffer feeling in turns.

To install, you just remove the 4 bolts around the strut tower bolt (the big one in the middle, DO NOT REMOVE) on both sides, place, tighten, done.

I have been thinking about that one as well, but since I have a 'vert the mazdaTrix one with the firewall support also sounds good.

I guess its gonna come down to $45 or $200 for me

I bought one from direct car parts and it did not clear my alternator at all. It sits on fill cap next to the alternator and I am going to have to get a smaller belt. but for 35 shipped I guess it's to be expected. I have an 87 gxl.
