Question eating harmonic balancers

some a-hole didn't leave the clutch depressed when putting in the main eccentric bolt and my thrust bearings fell out of place (I think) and it ate up (bad) my harmonic balancer and key. I pulled the front cover to put the thrust bearings back in place, and replaced the balancer. Since then it has been eating balancers every couple hundred miles......suggestions??

If your needle bearing was damanged, theres a chance it ate up the thrust plate and maby even the bearing housing. Id check thoes

Its the piece behind the needle barring. You could of scored/dented it when crushing the barring.

maybe he means the thrust plate or thrust washer... I have seen a couple of those messed up if the bearing dropped and it got tightened.
