A.E. How rare?

A.E. How rare?
How rare is my 88 TII A.E.? Did they all come in white, would i hurt the value if i changed the color? Any one know how many of these cars were made

There were 1500 total AE's made. They all came in white with the white rims and bronze tinted windows.
It wouldn't hurt the value of the AE if you changed the color because they're barely worth more than any '88 Turbo. Still, they might be worth more a few decades from now since they are rare...not much more though. I wouldn't change the color of the AE because that's one of the few things that makes it an AE. What color did you have in mind?

Maybe I'm out to lunch, but I thought all '88 turbos were AE? My experience with AEs is that everyone talks about how rare they are, but I've probably seen for sale 1 AE for every 3 '87s. (atleast where I live) In the past year I've seen personally seen 7 different TIIs. 3 of them were AE. (had the badge and interior/body to match)

I myself used to own an AE, and I've talked to a few AE owners we guesstimate there are prolly 7-800 running cars. I've seen a couple in junkyards.
