right now I have a ford tarus 2 speed fan and b&m adjustable thermostat what kind of relay do I need just an universal 30amp??

The universal 30 amp should work, but its more dependent on the total draw of your fan system. I highly doubt the Tarus fan pulls more then 30amps.

Don't forget to put a fuse in between the battery and the relay.
