E-fan Q's

Any reason for an aftermarket E-fan to run till your temps go below say 180 even after your key is out? or do people just do this being casually dumb? Heatsoak maybe, but the water pumps not running.

There's no real reason to keep the e-fan on when the thermostat is closed (84 degrees C, so a bit more then 180 F).

On hot days I use the turbo timer to run the fan for a minute or so after the car is turned down. It removes a great deal of heat from the engine bay and helps prevent things from getting baked. This was so much of a problem with the 3rd gen that Mazda has the thing set up to run the fans for a few minutes after shutdown in hot weather.
