E-Fan options

I want to convert to an E-fan but I don't want to drop over $300 into it. I know of one person who used a duel E-fan from a Mercury Mystique, but the guy at the junkyard had never heard of it. I know there is a certain generation of a Ford (Taurus or Escort) that uses a similar E-fan...What car is that?

Also is the cooling comparable to an aftermarket fan? (2400+CFM)

How much space will be saved over the stock unit? I'm doing this to make room for a CAI and VMIC / FMIC. (BTW where do you put the fan on VMIC setups?)

Generic GM fan is fine. Found on Fieros, Pontiac 6000s, Oldsmobiles, basically any mid to large size GM of the early to mid '90s.

Roughly how thin is the fan assembly? Will it fit in the space RIGHT behind the radiator?
