E brake problems....

I am running an auto trans and pull the e-brake as well as stomping on the foot brake in order to build up boost to launch the car.

Occasionally my E brake use to stick. Now it has gotten to the point where it sticks all the time if I load it up the car while the e brake is pulled. If I just use it in the driveway etc. and don't put any load on it it doesn't stick?

I crawled under the car and lubed the cables and attached a new stronger return spring. Same problem. Is this common? Where else can I look? Where can this thing be catching?

Thanks

there is no need to use the e-brake for that

but, check the adjustment on the brake shoes, they may be too tight, or your shoes are binding under the extra load

Well when I don't use the e-brake I can only make 1lb of boost maybe, with the e-brake and foot brake I can manage 3-5...

When U say shoes do you mean brake drums? I'm use to referring drum brakes to drums/shoes disc brakes to pads/discs.

. Anyway I have disc brakes on the rear and 4 piston calipers on the front. There isn't an adjustment screw on disc brakes are there? if so where is it and how do I go about adjusting it?

Also what type of brake pad would U all suggest. I'm not looking for the best in stoping like a semi metallic pad but the best holding power. I'd assume this would be a soft cheap pad? But I could be wrong.

Thanks.
