DYI rpm switch?

Hey, noticed the original thread for the DYI rpm swtich was lacking a few essential peices, aka, pictures and a description. Anyways, I would like to make this. Can someone repost it with pictures again or make this a new thread for it? Thanks

Ack!

I PM'd him.

There's a reference circuit in the documentation for the charge pump switch that was pretty close... I'll see if I can find it later.

I tried and tried to make a board on this one....figure out the circuit, ect..

I found a way, but it required programming a chip......

for fity bucks.. the summit one is a better option

There's a chip that does basically everything needed to do this, no programming required.

*sigh*

It's an LM2907/2917 chip. Google it. Get the spec sheet. There's a bloody reference circuit in there that will work.

99% of people here would have no clue how to design the necessary circuit from scratch, so that that really doesn't help.

This DIY kit is much better than the most of the aftermarket rpm switches I've seen:

Less than US$30 and they ship overseas.

I don't know what happened to the archive info, and I can't re-post to it.......

So here's the original stuff from that post. BTW, both switches are still working fine 2 years on now.
