Duraflex Phoenix Fire Body Kit

I have looked all over and cannot find any photos of a complete car with the Duraflex Phoenix Fire body kit. Has anyone else seen one, have pictures, and/or installed one? I realize it's just a cheap copy of the Pandem Body Kit minus the front rally lights. I can only find photos of the individual parts for sale which don't show the whole car. It's also interesting that you can't buy it all as a kit anywhere and have to piece it all together. I've included links to each body part for the kit.

Front Bumper
Front Fenders
Side Skirts
Rear Fenders
Rear Bumper Lip

There is also a Phoenix Fire Rear Spoiler, I'm not a big fan of the look so I would personally go with something closer to this spoiler but hopefully find one a little smaller.

Any help is appreciated!

Well, I made the purchase so I guess I'll update as I go with condition on receipt, fitment, how it compares to the Pandem Body Kit referenced above, and if anyone else has questions I'll gladly answer those. On preliminary look I'll probably be purchasing either these fasteners or these ones. I'm still undecided on which design I prefer. I'll probably go with the well nut variant as opposed to rivnuts based on what I've been reading online with rivnuts potentially causing corrosion or creating enlarged holes while well nuts seem easier to install, completely seal the hole, and would be easy to replace if needed. I'm open to thoughts/suggestions though.

My guy, I'm sorry no one replied. My advice- manage expectations. Duraflex is usually thin, wavy, and fits terribly- you can see how bad it looks in the picture of the actual parts at the links you posted. If you're going to be upset about that cancel your order now.

Thanks for replying! I've read that about other body kits by duraflex. Seems they are hit and miss with quality but I'm willing to give it a shot and see how it turns out and cross my fingers everything turns out ok
I have experienced the wavy panels from previously purchased flat aero components for my NA miata but it'll be interesting to see what condition a whole body kit comes in... I'll take lots of pics.

The Duraflex Body Kit came in today! Still waiting on the JP Fiber Shop Ducktail, but they say it's 7-23 business days to make and ship their parts. I've heard of them taking forever to ship parts to people so we'll see how long it actually takes. Order was made on 8/6 for the Ducktail and 8/7 for the whole Duraflex kit. 9 days is not bad for getting this whole kit in my opinion.

I'm an engineer so I had to use a banana for scale. Unsurprisingly it all came in one big box. Surprisingly, the box was fully intact and in great condition! All the pieces were also nicely wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap to protect each of the pieces. Anything that came in a set was wrapped together which caused minor surface scratches on some of the parts as I'll show below.

One thing to note before I start the reviews is that the material is a lot harder than I was expecting. I thought these would be more like urethane bumpers but they are pretty stiff fiberglass bumpers. No complaints from me, I just was surprised at the stiffness.

First up are the Rear Bumper Lips. You can immediately see some surface scratches on the left one. This won't show up once these are painted so I'm not worried about it.

This looked like some damage but really I think it just didn't get hit with the primer.

Minor imperfection on the shape of the fastening hole. Little did I know that this would be a near perfect example in comparison to other pieces.

I did a quick fit check with one of them. It's really hard to determine the fitment without the other pieces in place. From initial look it seemed like it would need to be maneuvered into place but should work out. Overall, I was very happy with these pieces, but we'll see on final fit-up how well they do.

Next up are the Rear Fenders and associated door pieces. These and the front fenders are what sold the kit for me. I love the styling and am excited to see what they actually look like on the car.

Minor imperfections on one of the edges.

Small imperfections and raised up portions. It looks cracked but it isn't, might just be heavy primer.

Honestly not much to complain about on these. Some of the fastening holes look funky, but they'll mostly be covered up by the fasteners themselves so I'm not worried about it. I did a quick fit-up with the fenders and again, it's hard to tell but looks like I'll be able to make it work as is.

Next up are the front fenders.

This was one of the worst when it came to poor fastener hole shapes. I might need to fix this one.

Another raised up section. I'm thinking I should be able to just sand it down.

Some small divots and edge imperfections. Hardly noticeable but worth noting.

Still in really good shape. Some imperfections that I'll probably fix to make it all look smooth but nothing like what I expected. Quick fit check made this fender look like the most promising to not need manual maneuvering to fit.

Next up, the side skirts. I was most afraid for these because they are long flat sections so if I was going to see warpage I thought it would be here.

I was happy to see that there wasn't any warpage along the parts due to the length or being stored improperly. There was a little bit of warpage along the flanges but I don't think those will be noticeable since they will either be attached to the car or under the car. But, I wasn't prepared to see that the shape of the actual parts don't look very straight. I tried to capture it as best as I could. This looks to be a molding error of some sorts because they seem to look like they have an hourglass shape to them. Kind of a bummer. To make them look straight these will definitely need the most amount of attention from an initial standpoint. I'll probably fasten them to the body and see how bad they actually look and determine how noticeable they really are considering they are low on the car.

Last is the Front Bumper. You'll notice little black square shaped marks on it, that's from them taping the bubble wrap directly to the bumper... I'm sure it'll just clean off.

The lower lip has some waviness to it. I'm not sure yet how I want to correct that but considering it's on the front bumper I think it should be addressed.

It also looks like there's a divot right in the center of the bumper. I ran my hand along it and it feels smooth so I'm wondering if it was repaired. I noticed this same divot on Duraflex's website so either this is a mistake in the mold or they shipped me the one in the display photo. I can't be the first one to have ordered this right? Someone else has to have ordered one...

That's it for now. Once I get the fasteners ordered I'll work on putting these on the RX-7 and take lots of photos of that process.
