dump valve
Hi,
I'm not sure but i suppose my dump valve is a bit... too old...
since i've played a little with the hoses around it, the turbo seems to spool a bit slower than before, and the max pressure is a bit lower...
I should tidy up the hoses to check for any leak. But at the same time i'd like to change the dump valve. i'm searching for a atmospheric one (if it's loud, that would be good) that can be connected using the OEM hose. I've switch my charge pipe for a stainless steel one, but i don't want tu cut the original BV tapping and weld a flange... cause i don't know welding...
So to summarize, i'm looking for a dump valve, with atmospherique discharge with an inlet that match the OEM one, and if possible... not too expensive.
Do you know any brand that would do it ?

The inlet on the stock piping and probably the replacement SS piping you got is the same, 20mm. A bit small, and also most blow-off valves go on 25mm, 38mm or even 50mm I think, but the latter is often flanged.
Anyways, probably, you would have to weld anyways.

yeah actually, my charge pipe in aluminium as well not ss as i said initially...
I didnt thought about welding directly over the existing bov taping... i could either weld a larger tube or a flange... might have to consider it... but isn't alu welding supposed to be very difficult ? from i know i thought it was really easy to do a hole if you over heat. i will ask on my facebook page who could help with the welding.

I got a friend to do it for free actually :P Had a MIG/MAG machine so why not. As for the pipe I got a 2" pipe from him as well, didn't use the stock or the Corksport one.

my stock pipe was a bit messy after my attempt to tap the tapping for the air pump wis glue... and there was a leakage on one of the tapping. I bought the corksport one...
