Dual Oil coolers

There was a thread started about this a while ago, but extensive searching couldn't turn it up.

I just wanted to add for the original poster (or anyone who cares) that I came across two sweet setups from rotor sports racing.

Many setups were discussed including the R1 factory duals and all kinds of different configurations, but as far as a one shot purchase of new components is concerned - this is the shiz.

The setups can bepurchased in either series or parallel configuration. Although they are for an FD, Im sure a couple adapters can fix that right up....

Here's the link... http://www.rotorsportsracing.com/per...oilcoolers.htm

edit: just noticed that it says FC ones are available also at the bottom of the page - yeeeah!

Multiple coolers are a hassle and were needed because not enough elbow room in the FD. IMO, there is too much plumbing involved = more point of failures. Keep it simple and.....
Just stick with the single oil cooler for the FC, and upgrade if your temp gauges shows high oil temps.

Here's a quote that anyone can copy using whatever brands/suppliers they want:

Dual custom oil coolers run in parallel, each with their own fresh air supply as like in the R1 locations, would cool better than the setup I installed from that parts list.
Still, the oil cololer I installed cools better that two stock oil coolers run in either series or parrallel in or around the stock location. Also, my setup is much simpler.

Good points.....however its a definite consideration for anyone experiencing temp issues (coolant or otherwise)

Since the rotary's oil is responsible for 40-50% of the cooling....any upgrade in the oil system would significantly reduce the amount of "work" the coolant needs to do.

Anyways, I just wanted to show the kit I found......plus I just think its hard-*******-core.
