dtss bushings version metal sleeve

I'm in the middle of redoing all my rear end bushings. My question is for the DTSS bushings, I removed the bushings itself, but atleast with the MMR ones, the diameter of the bushing is exactly the same size as the metal sleeve that protrudes out on both sides in which the original bushing sat. So does that metal sleeve have to come out?

Btw, the sleeve in question , is the the one thats logded around the rubber, not the sleeve in the middle of the bushing where the bolt goes through. So my guess is I gotta mangle that ************ out because its not moving at all press vise.

When I installed the energy suspension bushing kit I used an air chisel to get my dtss sleeves out. It was a pain in the butt. Well worth it though.
