DTSS bushing repacement

I know there have been many threads on this topic, I just wanted some up to date info. Does no one still make replacement bushings for the DTSS? When elimination bushings are put in, does it render the whole system useless, does the system just become extra weight? Did the system even work when it was new? Thanks.

Nothing made to replace it except the eliminators. It stops the DTSS from working by putting in busings that don't flex/give/move whatever, stiff is the word. You're basically pulling one out and putting in the other. No weight difference to speak of. When new, and if your bushings are still good, it worked very well and for at least me and a few others we like it.

Some people feel that adding the eliminators makes the rear end more predictable, less "sloppy" feeling

I went with the DTSS eliminators from racingbeat. It is good times. You will need a press to install them. Also if you plan on doing it you might as well replace your bushings as well.

Well, I'm one of those guys that hated DTSS even when new. It would steer the rear end out as you entered a corner (like the back end was sliding out) then, about the time you started to counter steer, it would start the "auto" countersteer and really screw things up. I drove my turbo when it had 6K miles on it so it was working "properly" then. If you drove it like a dumass (my own opinion) and never countersteered, then it would work OK but I never liked the car auto correcting for me. What happens if this deralict rear end doesn't stop the slide? I kind of felt it was asking for trouble.
All this said, the bushings really work well and you can drive it hard, trust your instincts and it does what it's supposed to every time. The best suspension money you can spend on a 2G. Both my FC's have them and I'd never go back.
