I was wondering, why can't I just remove the whole hub and do the bushing deal..

Not hard, the eliminator bushing just presses out and press in. Spray it with some penetrating oil (PB Blaster) when removing and WD-40 when pressing in. The eliminator bushing is made out of high strenght plastic, so you need to use a wood plank when pressing it in so it won't brake.

This is a top view of the brake rotor dust shield and "toe control hub." It sits inside the Rear A-arm's circular housing.

I would say its a 2, but then again I have done it about 7+ times, and have all the tools. I can replace both bushings and reinstall in about a little over an hour.
