Driving-light intake trick ??
Hey, I did a search to see if I could find information on a trick I've seen and heard about before. (I ended up reading entire, unrelated threads )
The driving light (the one without a reflector in it) is removed and replaced with a duct that supposedly feeds the intake.
I've seen pictures of it, I even remember reading a how-to on it a year ago, problem is, now that I have a 2nd gen, I can't seem to find it anymore! Of course, I could fab. it myself, but I'd like to know how it's been done before. Also what kind of filter (cone, or square?) and where was the filter in the intake line?
If anyone knows how to, or a website how to, or opinions on it, please let me know!

if it was leagal to not have headlights, you could remove your headlights, and bore a hole straight to a filter, good ram air system. if ya have fog lights, just use them.

it would obviously require that the headlights be moved out of the way for the intake to pass through there. Thats simply solved by a good ol' **** mazda provided us with that keeps the headlights up all the time.
so with the headlights up (and therefore out of the way I would assume :P ) is it still a really bad idea?
edit:
oh yeah, and it can't be THAT bad of an idea if someone else went through all the trouble of doing it, and then post it on the net.

i forgot who did it(he'll probably chime up in a bit) but someone here got aftermarket(read: much smaller) foglights removed the windshield wiper fluid container and put a pipe from behind the foglight up to the intake area with a cold air box. That's probably the most ingenious way i've ever seen of doing it.
