Driving at high rpm bad?

i just wanted to know if its bad to drive in 4th gear on the highway. i sometimes drive at like 60-70 in fourth cuz i like to way the car pulls at that rpm (3500-4000). is this gonna do anything bad to my tranny or anything else?

i cant give you a "for sure" answer, but i used to do this a lot, too. i would have used 5th more, but mine was out so bad it HURT to put it into 5th. once i was in 5th, i had to STAY in 5th. i hated having to shift back into 5th cause my tranny was so screwed up. i wouldnt worry about it personally, but at the same time, what the point? if youre just cruising, you shouldnt need to pull. if you need to pull, downshift.
some 4 bangers with low gears cruise around 3500 in 5th.

i cruise at 3000 in 5th on the way to work every day. its like 73mph.. but i often hit 90. i do half a lap around the beltway...3 lanes and 65mph limit the whole way. Minivans pass me while im going 80.

anyway i thought it was good for rotarys to see some rpms.

Ahhh good old NY. I cruise in 5th around 75. You should be ok in 4th though, but I try to keep the RPM's @ 3k when cruising on the highway.

It doesn't do anything bad, it's just burning a little more fuel than you need.

you gotta driver her hard once and a while. its how you clean out the carbon build up on the rotors due to omp spitting oil on your rotors. im premixing, so i dont have to do it, but i still wanna open her up as much as possible.
